University Sports Complex

The National University of Ireland Galway's new 6,500 sq ft sports complex which is operated by the The Kingfisher group.

Located by the Quincentennial Bridge, on the University campus, the University Sports Complex is ideally located for all students as a meeting point for sports activity

The University Sports Complex includes:

• 6 lane, 25 metre Swimming Pool, with moveable floor (International Competition standard).
• Dedicated Squash and Racquetball courts.
• National league Basketball Arena and Sports Hall with bleacher seating for over 600 spectators.
• 100 piece Cardiovascular Gym with 35 pieces of resistance equipment.
• Dedicated Elite Training Gym.  
• 2 Fitness Studios suitable for Aerobic Training.
• A competion style Climbing Wall situated at the front of the complex.
• Saunas and Steam Room.

 45 University clubs have access to the complex for club training, each evening 6 - 10pm.

The new sports complex will offer a balance to the students of the University from their academic study by engaging them in recreational and sporting activity.
